FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my order?

All items at Mountain Thyme are made to order! This allows us to offer a much larger variety of styles, sizes and colors. Production time for most items is about 4 days. Products labeled "*Special order item" are not kept in stock by our suppliers, and require an additional 1-2 weeks of production time. Shipping times depend on location. In general, expect to allow at least 1 week for your custom order to arrive; special order items at least 2-3 weeks. If you have a special event or occasion coming up, plan ahead to allow enough time for production and shipping!

What size should I order?

Sizes vary between products, and for this reason, a chart with the garment measurements is provided in the product images. These are measured straight across the garment, laying flat. In general, the Unisex items will fit more like "Mens" or a regular t-shirt size. Ladies products are more fitted, so be sure to check the size charts. It's not unusual for the same woman to wear a Medium or Large in a Unisex shirt, but need an XL or 2XL for a Ladies shirt.

For children who wear a size 5 or 5T: our Toddler 5T and Youth XS shirts are similarly sized, with the 5T being slightly wider and the XS being slightly longer.

Because each item is printed to order, we are unfortunately not able to offer returns at this time based on size. If you have any sizing questions, please reach out to us at mountainthymeshop@gmail.com and we will be happy to help!

Where are your products made? Where do your products ship from?

All our products are designed and printed in the USA. For apparel, our designs are printed on blank garments from well known and established garment companies. For all our products, the country of origin of the blank product varies. We partner with printing companies here in the USA; most apparel will ship from either Ohio or Minnesota. All designs are created here at Mountain Thyme; many are completely original artwork.

What kind of quality can I expect?

We try very hard to select high quality blank items to print our designs on. For T-shirts, we use both "standard" T-shirts (like Hanes or Gildan) which are a bit heavier and boxier, as well as more "premium" T-shirts that are softer and more fitted--these differences are reflected in the price and the product description, and we try to offer both when it makes sense to do so. If you don't see the T-shirt style you want offered in the design you like, email us at mountainthymeshop@gmail.com and let us know what you're looking for!

What printing method do you use for your apparel items?

All our apparel is printed using a Direct-To-Garment printer. This method allows for more detail and colors, and lets us offer a wide range of designs without having to pass on high set-up costs to you.

Will my item look exactly like the product image?

Most of our product images are a digital representation of the product, with the design imposed over an actual photograph of a garment (this photo DOES show the garment that will be used). Small differences in color, ink transparency, size and placement may be apparent when you receive your order. If you have concerns, please email us at mountainthymeshop@gmail.com . We hope to begin adding pictures of the final printed products as we are able.

Why does my shirt smell funny? Will the smell fade?

Garments are given a vinegar rinse as part of the printing process. This helps set the ink. The smell is harmless, and will come out in the first wash. If you find the smell bothersome, we recommend washing your garment before wearing it.
